Nominations are submitted by the membership or by persons/businesses well acquainted with the business they choose to nominate. This winner works with the towns of EG, Uxbridge and Newmarket, the Briars Resort, York Region School Board, Southlake Regional Health Centre Cardiac Program, York Regional Dental Hygienist Association and creates articles for the EG Bulletin and The Uxbridge Cosmo Magazine. She employs 1 full-tme, 2 part time and 15 casual staff. Huge community involvement including the EG Womens' show in 2010, Coordinator of the Mount Albert Sports Day 5 km run, and participates in many networking groups, the list of Charity and Fundraising groups is too big to name here! The winner says each client's soil receives a personal soil evaluation including soil PH, compaction, root and thatch depth analysis. They support environmental leadership by attempting to convert property care completely back to natural organics. A 27 year volunteer within the Scouting movement as a Scouting and Club Leader, and an EG chamber member. And, yet this business is only 9 months old! Business message has been filmed for Rogers Environmental Program and YouTube. The nominator says: Paul is very passionate about the environment.

Business Community Service Award 2010 - Mahalo Naturopathic Centre - Dr. Celeste Frenette

Before moving to Holland Landing, this winner started a Community Natural Healing Group because she has always wanted to support others through health and healing. She frequently offers donations and discounted visits to those who cannot afford the cost of services. She also offers home visits for elderly or immobile clients. Meeting space is donated for volunteer organizations, a facilitator for the Awakening the Dreamer, a non-profit organization and ongoing contributor for a local Tipi Fundraiser. Again, this business owner's community involvements are too lengthly to list in detail. Bravo!
